Graduate Student Receives Prestigious APNA Scholarship
The School of Nursing congratulates post-baccalaureate PhD student Amanda Krohn on being selected to receive a 2011 American Psychiatric Nurses’ Association (APNA) Janssen Student Scholarship. The award recognizes outstanding graduate and undergraduate nursing students who have expressed a passion for psychiatric mental health nursing and who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and clinical performance. The scholarship program serves as an effort to help foster the professional development of these students within the psychiatric nursing field.
Krohn was one of only fifteen graduate nursing students selected from a pool of applicants who were invited to apply from across the United States. As a scholarship recipient, Krohn will attend the APNA 25th Annual Conference in Anaheim, California, with registration, travel and lodging expenses included as part of the scholarship. The winners also receive a one-year complimentary membership in the APNA.
