$1.5 Million Grant Extension Supports Diversity at UMSN

Study by Dr. McCullagh Shows Factory Workers Unaware of Hearing Loss
Jun 26, 2012Three out of four factory workers surveyed reported good hearing, yet nearly half were found to have hearing loss. A recent study conducted by UMSN Assistant Professor Dr. Marjorie McCullagh has found a significant difference between measured and perceived hearing loss among factory workers. Of 2,691 automobile factory workers surveyed for the study, 76% reported their hearing ability as excellent or good. Jun 15, 2012A pioneer in the field of nursing, Dr. Andersen was the first ever to receive a Doctor of Philosophy in nursing from the University of Michigan. Her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing were also from the University of Michigan.
