U-M School of Nursing congratulates alumnus Dr. Greer Glazer on her appointment.

 

The University of Cincinnati College of Nursing has selected Dr. Greer Glazer, a U-M School of Nursing graduate, to serve as dean beginning in January 2012. Glazer received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from U-M in 1976. At this time, she serves as dean of the University of Massachusetts Boston College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Glazer’s research focuses on women’s health, including the institutionalization of domestic violence education and support programs in health care... Dr. Kane Low Receives Travel Grant for Netherlands Project

Assistant Professor Lisa Kane Low has received a Weiser Faculty Grant from the U-M Center for European Studies-European Union Center to support travel expenses to The Netherlands in order to initiate a collaborative project with the Midwifery Science Academie Verloskunde in Maastricht, The Netherlands. Dr. Kane Low will partner with Dr. Raymond De Vries, who has a joint appointment at the University of Michigan and the University of Maastricht.

The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing has announced the appointment of U-M School of Nursing alumna Dr. Anne M. Teitelman as the Patricia Bleznak Silverstein and Howard A. Silverstein Endowed Term Chair in Global Women’s Health. Appointment to a term chair represents a high honor at Penn and recognizes the outstanding productivity and performance of a faculty member.

The U-M School of Nursing congratulates doctoral graduate Dr. Joanne Disch on her election as president of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN).  The two-year term begins in November 2011.
