Researchers stress importance of implementing nurse safety measures around these highly toxic drugs.

Dr. Christopher Friese, assistant professor at the School of Nursing, was lead study author of research just published that found that nearly 17 percent of nurses who work in outpatient chemotherapy infusion centers reported being exposed on their skin or eyes to the toxic drugs they deliver to oncology patients.
