U-M Nursing Graduate Named Dean of the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing

U-M School of Nursing congratulates alumnus Dr. Greer Glazer on her appointment.

 

Dr. Greer GlazerThe University of Cincinnati College of Nursing has selected Dr. Greer Glazer, a U-M School of Nursing graduate, to serve as dean beginning in January 2012. Glazer received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from U-M in 1976. At this time, she serves as dean of the University of Massachusetts Boston College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
 
Glazer’s research focuses on women’s health, including the institutionalization of domestic violence education and support programs in health care institutions, and barriers to the provision and utilization of prenatal health care services for African-American women, as well as academic service partnerships. She is a Fulbright Scholar and a Robert Wood Johnson Executive Nurse Fellow, and currently serves on the board of the South Boston Community Health Center, R.O.S.E. (Regaining One’s Self-Esteem) Fund, and the Massachusetts Association of Colleges of Nursing.
