U-M School of Nursing Receives Renewed Accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education’s (CCNE) Board of Commissioners granted accreditation to the baccalaureate and master’s degree programs at the U-M School of Nursing for 10 years, extending to June 30, 2022.*
These accreditation actions are effective as of October 2, 2011. At its meeting in April, the Board determined that the programs met all four accreditation standards. The Board additionally determined that there are no compliance concerns with respect to the key elements.
The U-M School of Nursing’s reaccreditation process included a comprehensive site visit in 2011 by four colleagues from other accredited nursing schools. The team, which was appointed by the CCNE, closely investigated all aspects of the school’s BSN and MS curricula offerings and resources.
