Congratulations to This Year’s UMHS/UMSN Poster Winners! (with video)

Faculty, staff, and students share recent developments in nursing research, clinical practice, and innovation.

“These posters speak to important aspects of patient and family care, and they all work to elevate the practice,” says Marge Calarco, Ph.D., RN, University of Michigan Health System (UMHS) Chief of Nursing Services and U-M School of Nursing Adjunct Professor. “They also represent the teamwork across the School of Nursing and Health System.”

The categories for the 2013 annual nursing poster session were Evidence-Based Practice, Clinical Innovations, Research, and a People’s Choice Award.  Award winners received a monetary gift to be used for a unit-based educational or professional growth opportunity. Many of the submissions included authors from both UMHS and UMSN.

“These posters are a reflection of partnership of excellent clinical practice and excellent scholarship,” says Antonia M. Villarruel, Ph.D., RN, FAAN, UMSN Associate Dean for Research and Global Affairs. “Our students are so fortunate to be engaged with so many great clinicians here that are doing so many wonderful things for patients and families.”
