Blavin Scholars provides students who have experienced time in foster care with support during their college experience at the University of Michigan. Donations are used to purchase holiday gifts for students who would not otherwise receive holiday gifts. Donations in any amount are appreciated

Trauma and Burnout:  Caring for the Nurses
Wednesday, October 20, 2021 - 4-5:00 p.m.
Virtual conference on Zoom
Nurses are exposed to many potentially traumatic experiences at work, leading to burnout and posttraumatic stress symptoms. Self-care may not be enough to manage these concerns. The session will explore tools to self-assess for burnout, compassion fatigue, and posttraumatic stress symptoms and discuss treatment options. 1.0 contact hours provided.

• This event combines chapter and nursing leadership topics. Chapter leaders learn the skills necessary to operate well-functioning and vital chapters, while the other half of the program is devoted to a variety of topics relevant to today’s nursing workforce.

• Posters feature clinical innovation, evidence-based practice, and research conducted by nursing clinicians at UMHS and School of Nursing faculty.
• Awards Ceremony: Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. with remarks by UMHS Chief Nursing Officer Marge Calarco.
• This event is co-sponsored by UMHS Nursing, Rho Chapter and the School of Nursing.
• The Rho Chapter is again sponsoring the People's Choice award.
