  • Pediatric and adolescent mental health
  • Lactation

Katlyn is a graduate of the University of Michigan, since graduation she has found a passion for mental health and lactation services in her practice. She enjoys the many facets of primary care, but has grown her knowledge and expertise in mental health and lactation to close the gaps in care in her practice. She has found that mental health impacts many aspects of her patients' health and through her personal breastfeeding journey, found a passion to help support breastfeeding mothers. Katlyn continues to attend lectures, highlighting these areas to maintain and grow her knowledge.

Teaching

Katlyn has spent most of her nursing career monitoring students. She has monitored undergraduate students during her time at bedside and now mentors Nurse Practitioner students. Katlyn finds teaching as a way to stay up to date on current practices and a way to give back to her career. She feels that students learn well with hands-on learning and enjoys the moments when a student accomplishes their goals.
