Biography

John is a data analyst in the U-M School of Nursing’s Applied Biostatistics Laboratory. He has knowledge of and is skilled in data wrangling, data mining, machine learning, and traditional statistical methodologies. John is a fluent R programmer, and he also has experience writing Python, SAS, and Stata code. He received his master's degree in applied statistics from Bowling Green State University. While a graduate student, he participated in research related to the COVID-19 pandemic and secondary survey data from search engines and social media platforms. In his free time, John uses his data mining and visualization skills to tell stories with baseball data for his own and other sports fans' enjoyment.
