Biography

Lara is a data analyst in the U-M School of Nursing’s Applied Biostatistics Laboratory. She has experience in data management and cleaning, quality improvement science, and statistical methods including logistic models, ANOVA, correlations and regression, and mixed models. She has worked with a variety of statistical programming software packages including SAS, R, and Stata. She is also a data visualization enthusiast and has experience creating visuals in R and Tableau. Before joining our team, Lara worked as an Associate Clinical Research Database Programmer at C.S. Mott’s Children’s Hospital. She also has a strong interest in global health, having previously interned at the Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar and volunteering for through the Statistics Without Borders program, providing pro-bono statistical consulting & analysis with the Lebanese non-profit Tahaddi Project, helping researchers and social workers to conduct important needs assessment work aimed at improving client assistance.
